Bonney-Watson Lists Capitol Hill Location for Sale

Since 1868, Bonney-Watson has been taking care of Seattle families, making us the oldest continually operating business in Seattle.

Our mission is to provide meaningful service and exceptional care, and our goal to strive to provide all possible amenities for families to celebrate the lives of their loved ones in a way that is most meaningful to them.

To meet the needs of more families, we are expanding our ability to offer services beyond those that we have traditionally provided. As a result, we have decided as of February 8, 2017, to list our funeral home property on Capitol Hill for sale.

Just as Capitol Hill is changing, the way in which we celebrate the lives of the people we've loved is also evolving. We plan on continuing to operate the funeral home until the sale closes, more than likely sometime in 2018.

Through collaboration with local churches, community organizations and other venues in the area to host funeral or memorial services, we plan to continue to serve local families on Capitol Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods. In addition, we provide complete burial, cremation and funeral service options from our other Bonney-Watson locations in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, SeaTac and Federal Way.

We are and always has been a family-owned business, and we will continue to support families on Capitol Hill with the same level of care and commitment we’ve shown for the past 149 years.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day weekend, more than 100 volunteers from Veterans, youth and Scouting groups and other community members will place flags on the 3,000+ Veteran's graves at Bonney-Watson's Washington Memorial Park. This simple but profound gesture helps us pay tribute to all Veterans who have served.

Our annual Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 29 at Washington Memorial Park's POW/MIA Living Memorial Plaza. This event, regularly attended by hundreds of visitors, will feature speakers from various Veterans organizations, a ceremonial dove release and performances by the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band.

All are welcome.
