Helen J. Canter

Helen J. Canter, of Auburn Washington, born in Pasco, Washington on April 18, 1934, passed away and went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2014, at the age of 80.  She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Ron Canter.

Helen retired from Highline Community Hospital in 1999 where she worked as an aide in the nursery and later as a central supply technician.  Her hobbies included gardening, playing cards, an occasional trip to the casino to play the slots, and spending time with family.

Helen is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, a great-great-nephew, her sister-in-law Kathleen Canter and many friends.  Her spirit, sweet nature, sense of humor and strength will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Special thanks to Franciscan Hospice, and the staff of Hallmark Manor, Federal Way.

In lieu of flowers, Helen’s family suggests that you put $20 in a slot machine or make a donation to the Auburn Valley Humane Society.

Remembering all the fun times the four of us had over the years. We dined, danced, traveled the world and spent many hours just being together. I'll miss our shopping trips, lunching and just chatting about our guys. Chance made us "sisters", love made us friends. Always in my heart.....Now you are at peace....
