It's been better than a year now since you lost Kit and over 50 years since the photo above was snapped BUT I remember that day like it was yesterday. That was an exciting time & Kit fit right into our "Coulbourn Girl" family. I think of her often - mostly when the topic of conversation centers around dogs and/or horses. Kit has a special spot in many a heart.

Adrift

My sailís in shreds.

I do not feel.

I lie adrift.

I have no keel.

Tho seas are calm,

And eveningís red,

I steer no course.

My joy is dead.

Lifeís meaningís gone.

Iíve lost my dear.

And now I have

No course to steer.

And so I wait

With rudder slack,

And hope for hope

To guide me back.

Gosh Kit we miss you. We can hear your laugh. That bromeliad you gave us last time you visited has tripled in size. You were loved, immensely, the best tribute of all.
