Jay’s family and the greater Seattle communities lost a loving, compassionate, strong and giving man on July 16,2014.  Jay always enjoyed new adventures.  He was a mentor to many.  At an early age, Jay always showed compassion and caring for others, and helped guide them to enrich their lives.  He had a passion for restoring and rebuilding fast cars, that passion led him into serving his community in transportation.  Jay founded Tri-Med in 1995, which includes ambulances and wheelchair vans. Tri-Med has grown into over 50 vehicles and will celebrate 20 years of service to our community in 2015.

Jay’s voice, laughter and his “go BIG or go home” attitude always brought joy and smiles to everyone he spent time with.  His kindness, generosity and his loving hands were always felt by family, friends, pets and his community.  Jay loved to have a party and people knew the party was starting when Jay arrived.

Jay will be deeply and sadly missed by all of the many people he has touched throughout his life.

Jay is survived by his wife, Barbara; his stepdaughters, Danya Sallee (Derik) and Jenaye Simpson; his mother, Marian Crenshaw and stepfather, Eugene Crenshaw; brothers, Terry Davidson (Jan), Doug Davidson (Wendy), and Rob Davidson; sisters Gloria Hix (Gary) and Tami Vogel (Tom); two grandsons; nieces; nephews; three great-nephews; two beloved dogs Bugsy and Lady; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Davidson.

Jay’s memorial will be August 9th at 10:00 am at Kent Nazarene Church in Kent, WA.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to King County Medic One Foundation.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jay's passing. You two showed such hospitality to me in 2009, and then it was hard to contact you. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a struggle, this thing.

Sharing in sadness as we remember Jay. My last business meeting visit with Jay at Tri-Med started with a surprise welcome luncheon that was so much fun! We will always remember his generous hospitality. He knew how to make you feel comfortable when visiting Tri-Med. He was so very proud of his operations and appreciative of the people that worked for him. I'm grateful to have known Jay for his many hard working years in business and his kind friendship. My heart goes out to family & friends.

Jay, you were the most amazing brother anyone could ask for. Over the years of many "deep" conversations about life, relationships, and fun times I was fortunate to have gotten that part of your life. You had such a huge heart and yet stayed very guarded with it. All the kids loved you so much as you enjoyed so much being one of them yourself. Thank you for all you did for so many people and we are grateful for the years we got to share with you.

May you Rest In Peace as you so deserve to do.

Loving you forever.... Your Big Sister... Gloria

Jay's tenacity for life and his compassion for his community will forever be his legacy. Personally, I have such great respect for and am forever thankful that I was able to work beneath this man. Jay always showed unwavering support towards all of his employees and even though he didn't always "go by the book" he wanted nothing but the best for them. Tri-Med will never be the same without his smile and that twinkle in his eye - almost like he had something up his sleeve. Jay had a heart of gold and will be missed by MANY in King County. Many hugs to his Tri-Med Family!!

There is much that could be said of my former boss. We all come with our own trials in this life. JD was a good man who had rough edges. I respect his tenacity for finding a way tondo anything. This was especially true in business. I knew him primarily as an employee but I also enjoyed some personal time with him outside of work and appreciate those small glipses into this complex man. JD was at times a hard man to work for and you had to have a thick skin to hang in there with him but if he found you to be honest and a hard worker there is nothing Jay would not do for you. I have much to be personally greatful to JD for and Im glad I had the opportunity to tell him that when I left Tri-Med. Rest in peace JD and condolences to his family. I hope to see you all at the service. God bless.

Jay will always have a special place in our heart. Jay knew how to throw a BBQ and what a spread it would be. We knew to bring an appetite for sure. There are so many things we loved about Jay, but somewhere near the top of the list would be his BBQ ribs.

Too many stories.... Rigs held together with bailing twine, using my own money to get fuel, stretchers that would fall apart . It was a modern day mother jugs & speed. We all had a great time and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for the memories......
