Obituary

William R. (Bill) Frye, age 92, departed the physical world February 6th, 2015, peacefully in his home of 57 years in Seahurst WA,
Bill was born January 13th, 1929 in Susquehanna, PA to William and Phyllis Frye. He attended Laurel Hills Academy and graduated from Penn State University in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. He was quickly hired by The Boeing Company where he was employed for 31 years before retiring in 1989.
Bill enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to take his family on camping trips and excursions across the country discovering the natural beauty of the National Parks and historic significance of National Monuments. As an adventurist spirit, Bill summited Mount Rainier at age 55. He travelled the U.S. and Europe with his wife, participating in ballroom dance competitions, cycled the San Juan Islands with friends and downhill skied and raced (well into his 70's) with his 3 children. Bill would also be seen jogging or briskly walking in the Seahurst/Burien area, often miles from his home.
Bill's lasting memory will be celebrated by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Frye, daughter Kathleen Bogrand, sons Timothy Frye and Padraic Frye, as well as 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seahurst, WA, Feb 13th at 10:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, Bill would have preferred if all made a donation to their favorite charity.

I was so happy to be one of Bill's caregivers the last year and half of his life. We played hundreds of games of Uno Dominoes together. No matter what the situation, Bill always showed humor. He was a great person to be around and I learned many things from him. He loved his family so much.

What a wonderful life Bill had filled with family, friends and travels. My very fondest memory will always be when I got to spend the night with Kathy. At bed time, Bill would lead us in bedtime prayers and then he would end it with singing to us "Show Me The Way to Go Home"! I've never forgotten the joy listening to him sing to us. How special the Frye's have always been since moving into our neighborhood. Our two families have been so blessed with a treasured friendship! Bill will be so missed but now he can catch up with Stan & Pauline and as they watch over all of us.

Love,

Sally, Rich

Ty, Tia, and Deoni
