While living in Stockton, Max would help take care of the tavern that his dad had owned. In November of 1942, he would later move to Bellingham, WA. Max would go to work as a caddy for golf members. While max was in high-school, he played many sports (football, basketball, baseball and track), and even played a few rounds of golf. Max would retire from Boeing in 1992 (after 49 years). In 2002 Max and Lue moved to their final home in Bonney Lake, WA. They loved the peacefulness of living in Bonney Lake.

Max had 5 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren, who he loved all very much.

He was an avid golfer, crossword puzzle addict, puzzle lover, bowler, but most importantly he was a great man, who was loved by his family and friends.

My sympathy to the family. May the love of those around you give you strength. Find comfort in the promise God made in the Bible at Revelation 21:4: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
