Jean Ann Amador (Keyser) was born February 26, 1923 at home in Wolsey, South Dakota. She passed from this earth on July 30, 2016 at the age of 93. She was the 5th of 6 children born to Eva M. (Wenzel) and Elmer L. Keyser. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1941.
At the age of 19 she left South Dakota with her to be sister in law Doris Krog for Seattle. She was determined to stay for 6 months. She remained there for 74 years.
She grew up in the tough 1930’s. Her father died when she was 1 and her mother worked 7 days a week to feed her children yet she lived a good life, happy and positive.
She was a grocery store manager, a dress shop retailer, a charm school graduate and an owner of 5 homes by the time she was 35.
Jean was preceded in death by husband, Joe Amador (Papa Joe) and her son, Joseph, her companion, Bud Harrison, siblings, Velma Albrecht, Vearl (Buck) Keyser, Lloyd Keyser, Glen Keyser, Orpha (Babe) McGowan,
She leaves to mourn her passing grandchildren, Traci Kurtz (John) and Darrin Amador, 4 great grandchildren, Meghan and Grant Kurtz, Sierra and Brianna Amador, 9 nieces and nephews, Allen Keyser (Connie), Jim Keyser (Joan), Roxann Hansen (Larry), Paulette Zundel (Dennis), Carol Keyser, Susan Keyser, Gene Keyser (Jeannie), David Keyser, Melissa Albrecht.
Services will be 3PM, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA. Burial will follow at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Bonney Watson Funeral Home
