Obituary

 Richard “Rick” Gordon Johnson, Jr.

Rick was born to Richard Sr. and Dorothy Johnson in Long Beach, CA on April 21, 1957 and moved to Seattle when he was 1 month old.

Rick passed peacefully in his sleep and into the arms of Jesus Christ his Savior on October 3, 2016.

Rick is survived by his loving mom and step-dad, Dorothy (Millsap) & Miles Clippinger; sisters - Sandi Li (Johnson) Rivers and Sheri Lyn (Johnson) Marter (Jim); loving son - Brandon Earl Johnson and his mother Amy Vogel Johnson; 4 nephews, 1 great nephew and 5 great nieces, and his loving girlfriend Shalene Simmons. Rick also leaves behind two very special family members, Alice (Wong) Totten (George) and Joanne (Johnson) Gallasch and a whole lot of family in Texas!!!

Rick attended Broadview Elementary in Seattle and Chinook Jr. High, and Tyee High School, both in SeaTac.

Rick was a welder and mechanic by trade and was working for AMPAC Packaging, formerly Mohawk Northern Plastics, in Auburn as their mechanic for the last 10 years.

Rick accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized at Bible Chapel on `R' Street in Auburn, WA about 22 years ago.

Rick had many hobbies, including collecting Hot Wheels and “actual” old cars with plans of restoring them. Rick was usually in the middle of fixing one of them at any given time.

Rick was absolutely loved by each and every person who ever met him!! He was a man of integrity, love and compassion and would give you the shirt off his back, a place to stay and something good to eat - no questions asked!! He had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke, and was a great storyteller.
