Dear Mike, Carol and family. We are so sorry for your loss. We are blessed to have grown up in the neighborhood back when you knew and enjoyed a real friendship with your neighbors. We have such great memories of your dads beautiful yard and your moms loving nature. He would be out there at sunrise watering and raking the gravel. How happy they were together and now they are together again.

We hope you have comfort in knowing they are basking in Gods loving care and that someday you will be with them again.

Dear Mike, Carol, Gia and Mike,

We lost a grand lady, with the passing of your mother and grandmother. I join my cousins in mourning the loss of our dear, Aunt Dodie. I cherish memories of her, on "the farm", your parent's courtship, and their wedding.

I'll miss visiting her, on my Seattle visits. So happy to have seen her at our 2014 cousin's reunion, where she looked wonderful.

With love from my family, who fondly remember her and Uncle Benny.

Aunt Dode was my last living aunt, the baby of the Isernio family, and the sweetest soul. I can remember so many wonderful things about her: visiting her and Uncle Benny and Mike when we went to Colusa, California, ate olives on the porch of Uncle Benny's mom, sleeping on the screened in porch in 90 degree weather (at night). When her family moved to Seattle, my mom was so happy to have her baby sister here, close, it was having the whole family together again. Going to her house in Burien, playing with Corky the beagle was so much fun. I think we spent a lot of 4th of Julys out there, too.

My mom and Aunt Dode talked with each other every single day, twice, once at 10am and once later in the day. After my mom died, I became closer to Aunt Dode and visited her often. Seeing her sitting there, looking so much like my mom, was a real comfort. She always was trying to feed me, so Italian! Several years ago, I got her recipe for Easter Pizza and have made it ever since. It's the best! Her ambrosia fruit salad was excellent, too!

I have a photo of her at Granda Isernio's blowing eggs! I know that sounds bad, but she poked a hole in the egg, blew out the stuff so she could decorate the egg! they were so pretty!

So happy the family had her 95th birthday in September! What a gala celebration, most of the family there, so much fun and she looked so special. I will always remember that day. I'm so sad that she's gone, but know she has joined Uncle Benny, her parents and siblings in Heaven. Dare I say she and my mom are smoking? I know they are happy to be together again. We will all miss her so much but it's a comfort knowing she lived 95 years of a good and loving life, was loved by her family, and now she can rest in peace. Love you, Aunt Dode. You were so special!
