Tasha Wade obituary image 1

Tasha J. Wade, of Federal Way, WA, passed away after a long battle with Sickle Cell Disease on Monday, February 20, 2017 at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She was 44. She was born on March 18, 1972 in Pasco, WA to Linda Faye Wade Clarke and Charles Cooks Jr. She attended Mark Twain Elementary School, Mcloughlin Middle School, and graduated with the class of 1990 at Pasco Senior High School, in Pasco WA. In September 1995 Tasha gave to birth to twins Dominique and Diamonique Cooks. Tasha worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a while. A unique soul, Tasha was very funny, kind hearted and generous. Tasha was the glue that held our family together. She had an amazing energy about her that drew people to her and made them want to be around her. Tasha loved watching sports especially basketball and football. Many days and night she could be found cheering on her favorite players JR smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Doug Baldwin of Seattle Seahawks. She also enjoyed watching all the reality shows in the Real House Wives franchise.  Tasha also had an ear for of music. She especially enjoyed Rap and Hip-hop music. Even through her medical battles, she always remained positive and fought to stay healthy. She will be greatly missed.

The loss of a family or friend can be so difficult to bear. We can find comfort from our merciful god Jehovah and the beautiful hope of the resurrection that he has given us, and a time when death will be a thing of the past. We find this hope at 1 Corinthians 15:55 where it says “death where is your victory.. death where is your sting” The bible has many promises like this that give us hope of a much better life. I hope that you can find a measure of comfort from the hope found in the bible.

Our prayers and love being sent to the Cooks/Wade families, Tasha had a heart of gold. A very strong willed woman that fought most of her, doing things family never thought she would do. Missed in the physical but forever ingrained in the hearts everyone who knew her.

Love and prayers,

Jason and Dulcie Allen

Tasha was always trying to do the right thing and continued to keep going despite the pain of sickle cell making it difficult. It takes guts to keep going day after day in the midst of constant pain. She was a trooper, for sure, generous and fun-loving. I loved it when she would show up to the clinic all dolled up with her hair done because I knew she was looking good and feeling good! I am sad for your loss and pray for comfort for you, her closest loved ones and family.Tasha was a good woman. She was inspirational to me.

Faye, I'm so very sorry to hear of Tasha's passing. The loss of a child is almost too much to live with but I can just hear Corrine. God will see you through this. I always hoped that there would have been a cure or at least advancements to keep Tasha in this world but I guess that is selfishness on my part and not meant to be. She is finally at peace and in God's (and Corrine's) hands now. I will keep you, her girls and the rest of your family in my prayer. Peace to you my friend.
