Obituary

Steven Lock was born on July 12, 1938 in Canton, China.  In 1950, he emigrated from China to the US.  At the young age of 16, he had a strong desire to join the Marines but due to his young age he was unable to.  As soon as he turned 18, he joined the Air Force as a firefighter until he was honorably discharged after 4 years of service.

In 1961, he met the "the girl I always remember," and married her the following year.  Together they had two children, a son and a daughter.

Steven will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and most of all for his love of family.  He was the anchor of his family and coordinated the emigration of 4 of his brothers and their families from China to the US.  For all those who were blessed to know him, they will tell you that they will always remember his smile.

After a brief illness, Steven passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Joan, his son Brian, his daughter, Lynette, his grandchildren, Louis and Caitlyn, three brothers and countless nephews, nieces and in-laws.

He will be greatly missed but is now resting in peace in the arms of the Lord and the friends and family who preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11 am at Bonney-Watson Funeral Home in Seattle, Washington, his burial services will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 1554 15th Ave East, Seattle, Washington, 98112

My favorite memory is Uncle Steve and Aunty Joan putting all us kids in the motor home and driving to Disneyland and Circus Circus - Uncle Steve being the big kid he was. Just driving and laughing making sure we all had a great time. At Circus Circus all us kids got a roll of quarters and were to meet back at the designated spot in an hour! One of my best childhood memories. Thank you Uncle Steve - love you and know you are now pain free and laughing with Dad and others who were waiting for you with open arms. Another Angel to watch over all of us.
