Vera Aileen Christianson obituary image 1

On December 10, 2017, Vera Aileen (Buckley) Christianson peacefully left us for the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

Vera was born on February 12, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Lelah (Beals) Buckley.  She was proud of the fact that she shared the same birthday as President Abraham Lincoln.  She graduated from Decatur High School in 1946.  In 1947 her brother, Dick, introduced her to a young, handsome Army/Air Force soldier he had just met on the bus, Alvin E. Vera is survived by her son, Dan Christianson of Otter Rock, OR; daughter Angela (Tim) Peters of Puyallup, WA; daughter-in-law, Joeanne Christianson of Rocklin, CA; daughter, Janie Kay; sisters, Marie Best of Retsil, WA and Margaret (Buckley) Ball of Ball LA; brothers, Jerry Buckley of Decatur, IL, Johny (Dottie) Buckley of Tioga, LA, and Walter (Barabara) Buckley of Mattoon Ill; sisters-in-law, Fern Parker of Edmonds WA, Dolores (Bob) Siereveld of Tenino WA, Pat Buckley of Decatur, IL; brothers-in-law Ken (Karen) Christianson of Seattle, and Tracy Christianson of Seattle; 7 grandchildren: Michelle (Alan) Fly, Marc (Carrie) Peters, Shawn (Jacquie) Christianson, Jamie (Eric) Haupt, Ryan (Krystal) Christianson, Eric Kay, and Tina (Aaron) Norman; 11 great-grandchildren (Joshua, Allyson, Brooke, Scott, Jason, Ava, Leah, Parker, Grayson, Tessa and Ashton);   1 great-great grandson, Elijah; and many nieces and nephews.
