Imelda Argana Bautista

August 11, 1954 – March 18, 2018

Imelda Bautista, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away on Sunday morning March 18, 2018.  She is survived by her husband, Rolando Bautista, her daughter Meriel Young (Anthony Young), her mother Louisa Argana and her 6 siblings.

Imelda had an infectious smile and laugh that could fill a room with warmth.  Her love for her family knew no bounds.  She will be dearly missed by all.

“Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard, but always near.

Still loved, still missed, still very dear.”

I'm going to miss Aunty Mel every day. I loved that she was always smiling. I remember when she used to live across the street from Grandma's house and I thought it was so cool knowing that half my family lived on the same block. I'll always think of you and Grandma when I'm eating delicious Filipino food because you both cooked the best food around. I love you Aunty Mel.

Ate Imelda was such a pleasure to work with. When I first started working at the kidney center, she was one of the very first patients to make me feel welcome. I will miss her bright personality and amazing smile. She was truly one of a kind.

Ate' Mel, you were quite an amazing person. Always happy and even when anything bothered you, you were over it in a split second. As the youngest in the family, you always took care of me. Even when you didn't have much, you gave and gave and gave to everyone. You definitely had the most forgiving and caring soul. I wish I could have spent more time with you, but I know Dad, Rose and At'e Buena will have that with you. I love you so very much.

To my sister Imelda,

You have the most infectious smile that will be missed by everyone. You left us too soon. I am just glad to have had some time with you before you departed this world. The higher power must have wanted you to be with your family when they decided to take you from us. I love you so much. Say hello to Dad, Rose, and Ate Buena.
