Obituary

 LATOYA LATRAYA RIVERA

 July 13, 1982 - July 14, 2018

Latoya passed away on Saturday, July 14 at her home in Seattle.  Latoya was born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany and

has lived most of her life in the state of Washington.

Toya (to most people), took pleasure being with family and friends.  She loved spending time with her siblings and

playing games.  Toya also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies and especially watching sports.  Being an

avid and loyal Green Bay Packer fan, she always looked forward to football season.

She is survived by her husband, Antony Jon (AJ) Rivera, her mother, Stacy Garner, her father, Walter Harris and her

siblings, Latia Harris, Jamal Harris, Latreea Garner and Richard Garner.  As well an many other numerous family

members.  Latoya will truly be missed by many.

"A FAMILY IS A CIRCLE OF LOVE, NOT BROKEN BY A LOSS

BUT MADE STRONGER BY THE MEMORIES.

WE ARE FOREVER BLESSED THAT GOD CONNECTED US TO YOU."

Latoya, AJ and Family,

We are so deeply sorry for the pain and sorrow that losing her has cost you. There are no words on earth that will make the agony go away. The only thing that we can wish you all is strength and that you will all comfort and love other a little harder from this point on. Iím sure thatís what she would want. AJ, I canít tell you how much we regret not making more of an effort to hang out with you both while she was still here. I (Crystal) still remember so vividly, the day you guys got married....while I was doing her makeup and hair, she told me about how you guys met, and it was the sweetest story! She wanted to look so perfect for you that day. The love you guys shared is like something out of a movie. The closeness and desire to be next to each other is what most people only wish for in their lifetime. Take those memories and that love, and cherish it forever because that is where her spirit will always be. Much love, us.

It was a privilege getting to meet Toya and having the opportunity to spend time with her at family get-togethers. Her love and devotion to AJ was always apparent as was her commitment to the family. She leaves a hole in the family that no one else can fill. Thank God for her life and for the impact she had. AJ, I'm praying that our heavenly Father will wrap His arms of love and comfort around you and give you the strength and peace to face each new day.

Never was there such a kind-hearted and caring person for my brother, AJ. I am so thankful for the many years of memories with Toya... family game nights, listening to music, dancing, laughing... you will always be a part of this family. I'm sorry you didn't get to meet your nephew, but Grace still talks about her Auntie Toya. We will keep your memory alive. We love you, sis. Thank you for being you. Rest in peace. AJ, our hearts break for your loss. Hopefully, you can find comfort in the family. We are always here for you.

I remember the times we hung out up at Job Corps - our whole group of friends, we always had a blast. I really miss those days. Latoya was always a great friend to everyone. I'm privileged to be able to say she's my friend - no matter how long it has been since we saw each other, I knew she still called me a friend just like I still call her my friend. She is a great person, loved by many.

LaToya and I were friends in elementary school, and while I didn't know her as well as an adult it was obvious she as well-loved and loved those around her. She was a bright spirit with a warm heart.

LaToya I am so privileged to have had you as my sister-in-law and you were such a joy to be around! I will miss you and send all the love to you and your spirit. I will never forget taking you and AJ to your first Lucky Music Festival in 2015. That was legitmately one of the best times Iíve ever had frolicking around at a festival and introducing you to the peace, love, unity and respect lifestyle was pure magic. You will always be with us in spirit as we move forward and celebrate your time here on earth with us! Love you.

The first moment i met toya she ran up to me at karoke and gave me a huge hug. She was always so incredibly kind to everyone she met and she was especially great with my kids. I loved hearing her sing and she was actually really fun to watch at karoke. I feel really blessed to have had her in my life.

Rest in paradise Auntie Toya. Last summer, we had the opportunity to meet you for the first time. In the short moments we shared together with the family it will always be remembered. Looking back to summer 2017 we can remember having family BBQs, playing cards at the kitchen table, and getting to know one another sharing laughter and exchanging smiles. Although our time was brief, we will surely miss you. You had a kind heart and you were always sweet. We love you!

Sincerely,

Joshua & Rachel
