The Life of T.V. Huff, Jr.

“One of a Kind”

On the morning of Monday June 25, 2012 the Lord called home our beloved father, grandfather, brother, T.V. Huff, Jr. T.V. resided in Tacoma, WA and was loved by all who knew him.

T.V. was born in Austwell, TX on August 29, 1939. He attended the public schools in Austwell and Refurigo, TX. T.V. was baptized at an early age and attended Austwell Church of God under Pastor V.V. Lister as a child. Our dad was an avid reader as a child and this continued until his final days. All that knew our dad referred to him as their favorite uncle whether he was or not. His boisterous laugh will always be remember and most would say that they only had fond memories of him.

He met and married Bessie Lee Jones in 1969 and to this union three daughters were born – Tammie, LaShawn, and Regina.

The book of Psalms (119) tells us that we are here on this earth for a short time and our life on this earth is a temporary assignment. During our Dad’s temporary assignment he touched many lives in a variety of ways. He was affectionately known as Uncle Junior, “Junebug”, or Kingfish. T.V. proudly served in the United States Army in the Korean war, after his discharge, he became a professional fisherman, and later drove the city bus in Corpus Christi, TX until his retirement. T.V was a loving and doting father. He loved spending as much time as possible with his family and grandchildren.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents; the late T.V. Huff, Sr. and Fredonia Adams Huff; siblings Mattie L. Huff , Laura Lewis, Eugene (Linda) Huff , L.C. (Elsie Mae) Huff, Dorothy (Eddie) Miles, and Melvin (Margaret) Huff.

T.V. leaves to cherish his memory: his children Claudine Jones of Bremerton,WA; Albert Lawrence of Corpus Christi, TX; Katrina Huff of Corpus Christi, TX; Tammie (Howard) Thordarson of Seattle, WA; LaShawn Huff of Corpus Christi, TX; and Regina (Clarence) Robinson of Ladson, SC; his sisters; Catherine (the late Eddie) Winzor; Beatrice (the late Charles) Williams; and Alfreda (Eddie) Golidy all of Seattle, WA; his grandchildren; Christopher (Jasmine) Jones, Terence Jones, Emmanuel Washington, Tory Jones, Michael Trahan, Aramus (Avery) Huff, Ashton Huff, Quinn Huff, Shatejzia Robinson, Kenneth Jones, Shameque Robinson, Javen Thordarson, and Aryonne Thordarson; great-grandchildren Christopher Jones, Jr, Malazaye Jones, Natalie Jones, Zya Washington, Emmanuel Washington, Jr., Terrence Jones, Jr., and Lauryn Huff; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
