Dear Eldon,

You were a much loved nephew, and someone whom I remember in so many ways: when you were a little boy and so excited visiting us in Ohio, feeding the ducks at the duck pond, walking through the woods, eating ice cream with Heather; later when, in high school, you drove me around Boise to see some of the highlights, and we had a most wonderful conversation about life, and your hopes, and our thoughts about what the world is all about; later still, when you and Tammi had that wonderful little baby, Karisha; and then all the times, intermittent since we only got to see you every few years, it seemed, that I saw you being such a loving father to Karisha. It is not just the relationship I could see between you literally, with my own two eyes–one of love and trust and comfortableness–but also the proof of your true loving and interested fatherhood in her curious, perceptive, agile mind and body. With the greatest sadness I say goodby…but also, with the assurance that your kind character and loving spirit will not only always live in your daughter, but will flower in her in numerous ways. I love you and will miss you as a wonderful person whom I always enjoyed being with each time we saw each other. Rest in peace. Good-by.

Dear Eldon,

We saw you quite often when you were a young child. I was impressed early on by your remarkable skill at video games. I still remember your visit to Ohio and our trip to the amusement park at King’s Island. You really enjoyed some of the rides, but it was a long day and we all ended up rather exhausted. Unfortunately, we did not see you very often once you reached adulthood, but enough to know that you developed into both a fine young man and an excellent and loving father. We will all miss you, but we can feel grateful for having known you.

Dear Eldon,

Its hard for me to realize that I will never again wake on a Saturday morning, to the sound of your voice coming thru the computer speakers, as you played games with Jared. It just became normal in our family to hear your voice often, and your laughter, was always infectious. Thank you for being such a good friend to Jared, we are so sad that we have to say goodbye so early. When we first met you and Tammi 14 years ago, we knew we had made friends for life. I will say good bye for now, but I know that we will see you again one day….

I’ve worked with Eldon off and on over the last few years, and though I didn’t really know him outside of the office, I’ve always known him to be dedicated to his tasks at and his gift of laughing at just about everything thrown at him.

He will be missed in the office as surely as he will by family and friends.

My regards to his parents, his daughter, and everyone else that was near and dear to him.

I was fortunate to get to know Eldon a little bit through Gerald. He was kind and caring, just like his brother, and his gentle spirit will be remembered. My thoughts are with Genevra and the entire Lutz family.

Eldon,

It’s been a few years since we’ve talked and for that I’m sorry. You were a large part of my childhood memories and helped me through some difficult teenage years. September 8th will always be a day of remembrance for me. You were an amazing father and an incredible person. You will truly be missed but never forgotten. I pray you rest in peace, friend.

P.S. Tell my dad hi for me, would ya?

Love, Bobbi

Dear Eldon,

I first met you in class at Boise State ten years ago, and we embarked on a journey in our english classes as well as some math classes. You had car trouble the first day of class, so I offered to give you a ride home and met Tammi and Karisha. We had many great times together in and outside of school, and you helped me succeed in math and are a huge part of me being able to graduate from BSU. I will be forever grateful for your friendship and thoughtfulness. We played EQ2 online and stayed in touch weekly, and I will miss your comments and advise. I look forward to seeing you in the future where ever you may be, I miss you terribly as everyone, but I know you are at peace with your brother and with Jesus. Look down upon us with all of your kindness and compassion and we will see you again in future. I will do what I can to help Tammi and Karisha and keep your wonderful memory close to me.

Love always your friend,

Darren

Dearest Eldon, you were so loving, your mother misses you so much for all the love you gave her. No amount of love ever given to another is a waste, but is a great, great gift.

How very sad that you are not here anymore.

lots and lots of love to you.
