Obituary

Eddy A. Chinn, 89,
Born in Seattle, WA on January 20, 1925, he passed away peacefully in his home of 38 years on March 13, 2014.
Eddy worked 30 years for the City of Seattle and after retiring, volunteered over 10 years at Ballards’ Swedish Hospital. He was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker and fix things.

Early in life, Eddy enjoyed fishing, skiing, and traveling throughout Europe. Later in life, he traversed the Pacific Northwest in his Minnie Winnie motorhome. One of Eddy’s last adventures was traveling to China and learning about his history. In his retirement years, Eddy could be found sitting in his favorite chair watching the Seahawks, listening to classical music and reading history books.
Eddy Chinn’s most cherished activities were watching his grandchildren play sports, listening to Michelle play the violin and dinners with his family: he never turn down a rare steak dinner!

Eddy will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind demeanor, and fierce independence. He was a simple, happy man who is now back in the company of his lifelong friends Windsor and Holland. Eddy Chinn is survived by his brother Bobby (Toshi) Chinn; three daughters: Shelly (Jim) Chinn, Tamara Chinn, Michelle (Dale) Chinn Cannon and his beloved five grandchildren: Treanna, Dean, Colten, Joshua, and Shea.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, March 22, 2014
at Bonney Watson Chapel – 1732 Broadway, Seattle. Viewing 1 hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery ending with a reception at the family home.
