Anthony Arthur DeLorenzo, known to everyone as Tony, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on August 25, 2026 at 68 years old, leaving behind his family, friends, and many people whose lives he touched throughout his life.
Tony was born June 30, 1958, the youngest of three children and spent his entire life in the Seattle area. He graduated from Glacier High School in 1976 and was looking forward to celebrating his 50th high school reunion, which he sadly missed by only a short time. He got his start at The Seattle Times, where he met a group of friends who stayed close for the rest of his life. From there, he went on to Boeing, where he spent the remainder of his career as a proud member of the Machinists Union, continuing to form lifelong friendships.
Tony had an incredible ability to stay connected to the people in his life. He never forgot a birthday or anniversary and was famous for sending birthday cards. He made the effort to keep in touch, no matter how much time had passed, and he was always there when someone needed him. He was also a big jokester who loved teasing the people closest to him.
Tony was proud of being Italian and proud of his family. He loved riding his bike and completed the STP, RSVP, and Chilly Hilly bike rides multiple times. He enjoyed staying active, traveling, and making the most of life. But some of the things he will be remembered for most were the simple ones: his sense of humor, his stories, his thoughtfulness, his familiar routines, and the way he was always there for the people he loved.
Tony is survived by his wife, Deborah; his sister Judy; his son, Andrew; his daughter, Adrianna; and his five grandsons, Henry, Angelo, Leonardo, Cash, and Theodore.
A card in the mail, a call out of nowhere, a joke at exactly the right moment. These things may seem small on their own, but added up over a lifetime, they became something much bigger. That was Tony’s gift, and it meant more to the people around him than he probably ever realized.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who were lucky enough to know him.
