The Lord welcomed Alan “Moose” Clausen home on September 14, 2026, where he was reunited with his Norwegian parents Christian & Helene, his sister, Myrtle Aspelund (Earl) and dear friends. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his positive and competitive spirit, and, above all for being a friend to everyone he met. Throughout his career with Nelson Chevrolet, New York Life Insurance and the Seattle Mariners Ball Club, he formed many lasting friendships.
He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy; his sons, Derek (Bonnie), David; 3 grandchildren, Kaylien (Rojo}, Charles (Destiny) & Jonah, 4 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Mason, Faith & Easton, & numerous relatives, nephews, nieces & a host of cherished friends.
His family is especially grateful to God for the blessing of family and Church family and the Evergreen Hospice care team for their extraordinary love and compassion. A private family burial will be held, followed by a celebration of life at First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach on October 1, 2026 at 3pm.
