Ardell L. Hawley, born June 8, 1920 in Armour, SD died peacefully June 26, 2011 in Seattle, WA. Preceded in death by his parents Virgle and Hazel Connelly Hawley and brothers Dean and Darold. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn Ptak Hawley, two sons Randy and Kerry, two daughters-in-law, six grandchildren, two great- granddaughters and many other loving family members and friends. He will be remembered for his service to the United States in WWII as a 1st SGT in the 158th Regiment and for his love of baseball. Funeral services to be held June 30th @ 3 p.m. at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA. 206 242-1787.

Dawn said tonight she will always remember his laugh – I have to agree!! We have embedded memories of our trip to Seattle in 1964-all 9 of us-in our Chevy station wagon!! If I remember it was Randy’s high school graduation?!! We are thinking of you and pray the good lord will watch over you and your family. LOVE YOU!!
