With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, Atoa Amituanai, born Atoa Tiai Savele, who peacefully departed this life on July 24, 2026, at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington, at the age of 64.
Born on January 5, 1962, in FogaSavai’i, Samoa, Atoa carried with her the strength, faith, and values of her Samoan heritage throughout her life. She was a woman whose greatest joy came from caring for others and whose heart was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need.
Atoa was the devoted and loving wife of So’oalo Petelo Amituanai. Together they built a home filled with love, faith, and unwavering commitment, raising nine children and leaving behind a legacy that continues through her many cherished grandchildren.
She will forever be remembered as a patient mother, a loving grandmother, and a devoted wife whose kindness knew no limits. Her nurturing spirit, gentle wisdom, and compassionate heart touched everyone blessed to know her. Whether offering words of encouragement, preparing a family meal, or simply being present during life’s joys and challenges, Atoa made every person feel loved and valued.
Her legacy is one of unconditional love, selfless service, resilience, and faith. The lessons she taught through her actions, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely will continue to guide her family for generations to come.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, So’oalo Petelo Amituanai; her nine children; her beloved grandchildren; extended family; and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her warmth and generosity.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her love lives on in each of us. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
