Doris Muhlbeier Welman
Doris E. Welman passed away
August 7, 2008, after a lengthy
illness in Seattle, Washington.
She was born in Bowden, North
Dakota on November 26, 1928, to Andrew and Ida Muhlbeier. The
family moved to Sedro Woolley, Washington in 1937. Doris
graduated from Sedro Woolley
High School and spent the majority of her career as a bookkeeper at Alaska Airlines, where she
worked for 39 years.
In 1966 Doris married Val Welman and settled their home in the Seattle region. Together they traveled throughout the world. She also
enjoyed flower and vegetable
gardening and photography.
Doris is survived by her husband Val Welman, brother and sister-in-law Willard and Carlene Muhlbeier,
sister-in-law Norine Muhlbeier, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Doris was preceded in death by both parents, brothers John, Arthur and Calvin, and sister Marian Holt.
Doris was a very sweet and caring Aunt. Doris always had a smile on her face, and only had kind words to say.
We will always remember Doris, with her beautiful smile.
