Dorothy M. KNIGHT
81 of Renton, Washington and resident of Merrill Gardens died Friday morning, August 10, 2012.
Mrs. Knight was born Feb. 10, 1931 in Ronan, Montana the daughter of Henry and Alice (Russell) Holdiman. She attended schools in Gallatin Valley until she met her future husband David LeRoy Knight. They were married November 2, 1950 and traveled and worked in several states before coming to Seattle WA in 1957 where they remained. They both worked for the Boeing Company. Dorothy retired from Boeing in 1992. Mr. Knight passed away on Sept. 16, 1975. Dorothy moved to Merrill Gardens in 2008. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading.
Survivors include daughter, Judy (Knight) McPherson of Kent and Mary (Knight) Martin of Renton; grandson John Martin of Issaquah; granddaughters Laura Martin of Renton, Celia McPherson of Spokane and Traia McPherson of Puyallup; great-granddaughter Savannah Albano; great-grandson Skylar Albano; sister Marge Woodword, brother Harold Holdiman and brother-in-law John Young. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Young.
Visitation Friday, August 17, 2012 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM and funeral service Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM both at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac.
