Greg duMonceaux passed away Wednesday, Aug 12, 2026 while on a bucket list cruise to Alaska. He spent his last day viewing the natural wonder of Glacier Bay, then passed peacefully in his sleep. He was 79 years old.
Greg was born Jun 7, 1947, grew up in Foley, and lived in the same home in Eden Prairie, MN for over 50 years. He is survived by daughter Brittany, son-in-law Travis, step-children Ryan and Rachel, ex-wife Donna, grandchildren Phoenix and Griffin, and 10 brothers and sisters.
He became an architect after studying at the University of Minnesota, designing and overseeing the construction of many buildings and homes in the Minneapolis area. He’s known for being a bit of an introvert and a lone wolf, but he travelled well, served his faith community, and surrounded himself with family and friends. His home overflows with photographs of the people he loved and the memories he treasured.
It seems like every wedding, every horse show, every performance, every holiday, every milestone – Greg was always there. Steady, stable, ever-present, and deeply kind are the qualities he’ll be remembered for.
Funeral services for Greg will take place Sep 1, 2026 at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie. 10AM Visitation, 11AM Mass, Lunch at 12PM, burial at Eden Prairie Cemetery to follow at 2PM.
Note: Any flower orders should be placed through a local floral shop in Minnesota.
