Thilda Anne Mau

Thilda Anne Mau, age 83, died peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2006 in Federal Way. Thilda is survived by her daughter, Reverend Joan A. Mau; sons, Eric W. Mau Theda and Christian T. Mau Mari Shiobara; one granddaughter, Dhani Mau; sisters, Daphne Sandvig Edwin and Donna Soine Malcolm; brother, Theodore Hellman and numerous nieces and nephews. Thilda was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1995 and her son, Mark in 1973 and her brother, Robert Hellman in 1988. She was an invaluable support to her husband in his ministry and spent many years abroad. Thilda is world famous for her gracious hospitality and great sense of humor. She was always ready to help where needed, but never intruding. She was, and will continue to be, a marvelous gift. A celebration of Thilda’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 22975 – 24th Avenue S, Des Moines, WA 98198. Memorials may be given to Lutheran World Relief, 700 Light Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230.
