Pastor Tappero was my pastor when I was in first grade {6} yrs old. I attended the church only for a couple of years and I barely remember his kind face. I remember he was very gentle. I do remember raising my hand to receive Jesus at an altar call one day. I am forever grateful to God for my salvation. God used this man that I never knew. I'm 46 years old now. I stumbled on this website by accident. I'm sad to see that he passed away and I never got to meet him as an adult and thank him. I will see him someday in heaven. All glory and Honor to Jesus for the great and mighty things he has done. Blessings and condolences to the family.

Paster Tappero was among the last surviving handful of people born in the now-ghost town of Phoenix, BC. I am only aware of three others, from among the 500 or so people who were born there between 1900 and 1921.

Pastor Tappero was the first pastor I have any memory of. What a kind man. When I was a little girl he and his wife were so kind and affectionate towards me and my family. I am blessed to have had him as my first pastor. What a remarkable man. Rest in peace. Condolences to the family.

My parents were not affiliated with any particular church, but when the kind people from Evangel Temple said that a bus would come by every Sunday morning and take my brother, Jim, and me to Sunday School, we went. For many years I attended Evangel Temple, and remember Rev. and Mrs. Tappero for their kindness and teachings that I still hold today. A special hello to Paul and Ward. I remember you, too!

What an incredible blessing it is to be called Pastor Tappero's friend. I am in awe of the consistency of spirit and candor aobut how to live out his faith in God. We will see each other again and that is also a very comforting thought.

Blessings and love to all his family and to the church family as well.

To the family we extend our deepest sorrow and prayers. I'll always remember Pastor Tappero for his reverence for the Lords work and for His mentoring of me to be the Pastoral Care Pastor for the Renton Assembly congregation. 1997 - 1999.

Pastor Tappero will be sadly missed.

His life will live forever in the lives of those He touched.
