Timothy Douglas Stetner (Tim) of Renton, WA, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was a quirky and charismatic dad, brother, and friend to many.

Tim was born January 26, 1952, in Sunnyside, WA to Herb and Jean Stetner. He was the first of two children, and grew up with a love of baseball – especially for the Seattle Mariners. He graduated from Western Washington University as a Communications major, which he applied to a successful career in retail, most notably at Nordstrom for many years. His career took him from Seattle to Alaska, Utah, Vermont, and back to his Eastern Washington roots. His hobbies included salsa dancing with his friends in Ellensburg, watching pitch by pitch baseball, golfing, and fishing.

He is survived by his three children, Kyle Stetner, Courtney Thorne, and Caity Stetner; his grandson, James Stetner; and his sister Patrice (Pat) Irland-Stetner.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 12 at 3:00 PM at the residence of Erin and Jamie Thompson (29631 55th Ave S, Auburn WA 98001) to honor and remember him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's honor can be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer research.

May holy Mary, the angels and all the saints welcome you now that you have gone forth from this life. May Christ who was crucified for you, bring you freedom and peace.

And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.

You will be deeply missed.
