Evelyn N Heatherington

Evelyn Heatherington, 95 of Renton, WA passed away peacefully with family present on Novemeber 24, 2016. She was born December 22, 1920 in Marysville, WA.

She worked at the Market Basket store bakery for many years and then was employed at A & H Drugs in the Renton Highlands until her retirement.

She led a very active life. She loved to travel and was able to visit interesting places . She loved to garden and up until the last couple of years still enjoyed going out there and getting her hands dirty. She enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores with family and friends. She was always able to find a 'treasure'. She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed embroidery work as well as making baby quilts for many newborns. She was still doing her hand work right up to the end of her life. Mom loved baseball and the Mariners have lost one of their most loyal fans.

She is survived by her children, Pat Zebell, Nancy Tiegs (Ted), Beverly Painter, Rebecca McCarthy, Elizabeth Heatherington, her sister Aileen Bellman, seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She touched many lives in her lifetime and her love for family and friends was very special to her. We were so fortunate and proud to have had such a wonderful mother and role model. We will miss her and she will be forever in our hearts.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Those whom we love and lose are no longer where they were before.

They are now wherever we are!

Evelyn and my Grandma, Dorothy Habor, were the best of friends. Every time they got together it was a new and exciting adventure even if it was just taking the bus. They both loved the thrill of the hunt at garage sales and thrift stores. I'm sure they are together now looking for good deals behind the pearly white gates enjoying the best estate sale ever. I miss them both very much.

So privileged to have know Evelyn through my Moom Dorothy. Evelyn was a salmon force in this upside down world and we miss her already. She and Mom would garage sale Saturday's for years and always found something for someone!

Very uplifting to know you 5 daughters, grand and great grand children took special care of her and visited often. She did love company and was always pleasant and a good listener. We miss the best neighbor Mom ever had. Prets.

I'm so proud to be your grandson, you taught me how to be kind, patient, forgiving, thoughtful and above all how to love everyone without saying. Granny, I'm going to miss you, but you will never be out of my thoughts. LOVE YOU....

You will be greatly missed. You were the kindest woman and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Life isn't about the end it's about the story you will be with us always.

Ev, I will miss our visits and our discussions of Mariners and SeaHawks, especially our post game phone calls. You were such a wonderful person and mother in law. Thank you for the gift of Nancy in my life. I was blessed to have known you for 53 years. You our Matriarch, may be in heaven now, but will be in your daughters' , grandkids, great grandkids, and friends hearts forever. Love you with all my heart.

Grandma, you will live forever in my heart but I know your true home is with God. Iam so blessed to have so many memories with you, enough to last a lifetime. Each year on my birthday I would stay the night, in the morning you would make tiny pancakes with peanut butter (which I have passed on to my kids). We would then walk to the bus stop and jump on the metro to downtown Seattle for a day of lunch and shopping. I miss you Grandma so much. I love you with all my heart.
