Obituary

Janis Dianne White

Janis Dianne White was born to Roy and Hazel White on November 12, 1953 in Seattle and passed on to her heavenly home November 29, 2018, just after her 65th birthday.

Janis was born with a severe cleft palate and impaired frontal lobes.  She had many surgeries in her early years.  Janis was baptized as a member of Glendale Lutheran Church.

She was home-schooled while young and had a natural talent for music.  She graduated from Seattle Christian School where she became very proficient at the piano.

Janis resided for many years at the PALS unit of Western State Hospital, where she enjoyed freedom to shop and walk around the neighborhood and made many friends.  She enjoyed taking classes, crocheting, telling jokes, writing to friends, and listening to music.

In recent years she resided in adult family homes in the Kent and Auburn areas.  Due to a decline in her mobility, she as then moved to Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center.

Janis was preceded in death by her devoted parents and survived by her two older brothers.

Her funeral will be held at the Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial Chapel, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA on Saturday, February 9th at 12:30 p.m. with a viewing beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The service will be conducted by her brother Pastor Virgil Roy White with special violin music by her brother Duane White.  A reception will follow the interment.

The family extends special thanks to her many care givers and counselors over the years.
