Hilda Phillips

Born May 11, 1907 in Kettering, England; passed on to be with the Lord with her family by her side October 2, 2004 in Federal Way, WA at the age of 97 years. Hilda was a warm and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Dan Smith of Federal Way, WA; sister Mrs. Connie Glover of Kettering, England; grandsons Christopher Strauss and Michael Smith both of Federal Way, WA; her beloved pets Stasha, Princess, Frank, and Manchester. Hilda was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank J. Phillips in 2002. There will be no public services at her request. Memorials to the Humane Society, or Franciscan Hospice at St. Francis Hospital, 34515 9th Ave. S., Att. Hospice, Federal Way, WA 98003.

I knew Hilda for many years while living in Spokane. She and I were from the same county in England. She was a lovely, gracious lady and I will always remember with fondness the time that we spent together going out to lunch or visiting over cups of tea. My sympathies to her family whom she loved dearly.

Aunty Hilda,a very much loved aunty,surrogate nan,pen friend and an inspiration to us all with her words of wisdom and advice throughout the years.God Bless, Hildaxxx

Mother I can’t seem to move on yet. These last two years that we were together were such a gift. It was wonderful to share these days with you. You brought so much joy to this home. We know that you and Dad are together again so that brings comfort to us.You were truely a loving mother and grandmother. Mom, I love you so much.

Not a day goes by I don’t think about you and Grandpa. You were always good to me, and I cherish the times we spent together. I miss you, and only wish you would have met my wife Katie. I know you are there nana I can feel your protection and warmth from the heavens.
