We miss you a lot. My mother Violet was your best friend while you both lived at Cristwood Park.

The last time I saw Cora we sat together in her apartment at Cristwood Park and she told me stories about her life. I remember two stories in particular. The first was how she met Howard, her husband. The second was about catching the bus to go to school. The school bus always stopped on the road in front of her house and there she would wait for the bus to come along. She told me that one time it rained so hard that a pool of water collected on the driveway on which she had to walk to get to the road. She was so small that she had to be carried over the water to get to the bus stop.

She and my mother, Violet, became close friends while living at Cristwood and I am glad for that. Because of their close friendship, Cora became Auntie Cora to me. Such a nice woman. I miss her. She touched many people’s lives and will be missed by all of us.
