Edith Irene Johnson Holmgren O’MEARA
Passed away in her sleep at Mason General Hospital in Shelton on April 24, 2003. She was born on March 1, 1924, in Fargo, ND, to Mabel and Chris Johnson, the last of her mother’s 10 children. Watching North Mason High School sports teams, gardening, reading and bingo headed her lists of interests. She was a homemaker for many years after owning a sandwich shop and clothing store in Seattle, managing apartments she was an exceptional apt. mgr., and working at Boeing and in a variety of other fields. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, George A. Holmgren, and is survived by her son George D. Patti Holmgren and grandchildren Travis and Terra. She is also survived by her special friend of 24 years, Michael Miller, sister Margaret of Minneapolis, Minn., brother Roy Lucken, of Morris, Minn., many nieces and nephews, and guardian angel Deanna Walker, of Shelton. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Monday, April 28, at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 SW 146th St. Burien, 98166. A reception will follow the memorial service
