Obituary
Elaine Dalke Johanson, age 92, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2020 at her home with her son and caretaker in Tukwila, WA. She was born on February 24, 1928 in Los Angeles, CA to Geneva Hoffine and Edward K. Dalke. She was raised in the Blackfoot, ID area. She married Joseph Reid Johanson.
She lived a couple years in Pocatello, ID and then moved to Tukwila, WA in 1958. They were able to have a son join their life on October 7, 1959, John Reid Johanson. She loved to golf with the “Over The Hill Gang,” fish, camp, canoe, travel, and family reunions. She won many golfing awards. Family was very important to her, she enjoyed the family reunions at Mormon’s Bend Campground every summer. She worked for at least 20 years at Frederick & Nelson’s department store, she won many customer service awards there.
Special thanks to Lori Wilkinson for being her caretaker at home, and to her doctors, nurses and other family members and friends for their support.
There will be a Memorial Service in the future when she is laid to rest in Pocatello, ID next to her husband.
Grandma I miss you so much. It’s going on almost 3 years now you been gone. So much has happened. You gained my son up there you already had my daughter up there. Tell them I love them give gramps big squeeze for me. I love you mama.
