Michael Yellam

It’s hard to believe Uncle Mike is no longer with us. He was such a doer, organizer, and leader in his life. His involvement in so many organizations was amazing! He sure knew how to get things done!

I loved talking travel with him and sharing stories about organizing group travel. Now we have lost our last link to tell us about our Iellamo heritage and guide us through our grandparents’ hometowns in Italy. He was such a great source.

No matter where I am, whenever I hear an accordion play “O Sole Mio,” I always picture Uncle Mike and my Dad at a Sons of Italy spaghetti dinner singing. It warms my heart.

Uncle Mike had a great zest for life and had high expectations for all of us. Although we will miss him, I know my Dad and the rest of his family have welcomed him with open arms. Who will be called “Dumb Head” first????

My love and prayers to Auntie Shirley, Mikey, Bob and the rest of the family. I know how much it hurts.
