Robert “Bob” L. Childress
Bob was born September 7, 1925 in Chilhowie, Virginia. He passed away August 17, 2003 in Burien, Washington at the age of 77 years. Bob was a lifetime member in the Washington State Terrier Club, Olympic Kennel Club, and the Washington State Obedience Training Club. Beloved husband of Eileen Childress; brother of Lillian Clark; stepfather of Walter-Keith Hearn; grandfather of Mathew and Patrick Childress, and Malcom Hearn, Michelle Wyndham-West Shauna Smith, Samantha Schneider, Lisa Hover, April Fillary, and Angela Gause, and great-grandfather of 6 great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Childress, and stepson Bryan Hearn. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 12:00 – 8:00 PM at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 Pacific Hwy. S. SeaTac. Memorial Service Saturday, August 30th at 1:00 PM at St. Columba Episcopal Church, 26715 Military Rd. S. Kent, WA 98032. In lieu of flowers memorials to the church, or the Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue, PO Box 3523, Redmond, WA 98073.
