| Ronald Wayne Moore, passed on Christmas Day 2020 at the age of 87, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Ron grew up in central Washington with his parents Lloyd and Jessie Moore and sister Sheila before moving to the Seattle area after college where he lived his life. Ron lived a life of public service, protector of people. Ron served in the U.S. Navy before starting his career with the Seattle Police Department and King County Sherriff’s Department. Upon retirement, Ron took a position as Head of Campus Services and Security for Seattle Central Community College where he met his beloved wife of 30 years, Flora. During his later life, continuing his love of helping people, Ron was focused on sobriety and the Alcoholics Anonymous program. He helped form the first group at St Guadalupe church in West Seattle. In his role, he was dedicated to helping many regain their sobriety and building the quality of their lives. Ron is survived by 3 sons, Ronald Jr., Michael, and Christopher as well as 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ron will be missed greatly by all who knew him and relied on his love and support. A small family viewing will be held on Thursday January 7th, 2021 from 10 – 1 P.M. at Bonney Watson, Washington Memorial 16445 International Boulevard, SeaTac, WA followed by his second visitation and funeral service on Friday January 8, 2021 from 10 – 1 P.M. at St. Philomena Church in Des Moines, WA and 1:30 P.M. burial within Gethsemane Cemetery on Friday January 8, 2021. Virtual Zoom services will be provided via e-mail for the visitation, funeral service and graveside. All facilities have a 30 person limitation and require social distancing be practiced. |
I was so sad to see the passing of Ron. He was very supportive to me as a friend and ex father in law. ❤️🙏🌹
