Dear Ruth, We are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed such wonderful visits with you and Gene when we would see you with our folks, Gladys and Ed. Those 4th of July fireworks were just spectacular and our ooohs and aaaahs were loud in appreciation. We hope and pray that all the special memories you have will fill your heart and mind and help to ease the sorrow you have today.
God Bless and keep you always.
Love, Ted and Pat Linde
Gene and I shared our friendly and stimulating work environment at Seattle Trust & Savings Bank for 5 years. He was my friend and mentor there; always positive in attitude, dependable and measured under pressure, and ready when advice was sought. Until now, I had not realized that we both were attending The School of Busines at the University of Washington where our paths could have crossed, but it was a large student body. In the early ’60s, however, we both together returned briefly to the UW, trying to get a “handle” on something new called “programing” and computerizing the mortgage lending business.
Ruth, both Carol and I were so honored to have been invited to attend your daughter’s wedding reception. I remember it well, for Gene shared many of the details of the planning for the event. It was a happy time.
You both remain in our hearts.
Verne and Carol
I worked with and for Gene at Seattle Trust and at Unigard.
He was a really fine man and I
enjoyed our working relationship.
