Billy Lamont “Bill” Carter passed away July 24th, 2014 in Des Moines, WA at the age of 88. Bill was born May 2, 1926 in Bellingham, WA. Bill retired from United Airlines in 1988.
Nellie Patricia “Pat Hamiliton Carter passed away October 30, 2015 in Des Moines WA at the age of 83. Pat was born November 14th, 1932 in Seattle, WA. Pat retired from Mail Advertising Bureau, Inc. in 1988.
Bill and Pat were married on July 13, 1947 in Bellingham, WA and were married 68 years.
They preceeded in death by their son Ronald David Carter in 2005.
Pat is survived by her sister Faye Myers of Bellingham, WA. The surviving children of Bill and Pat are Billy, Carol, Donald, Candace and John. Six grandchildren Zachary, Kelly, Jeffrey, Christine, Corrine and Thomas. And one great grandchild Oscar. They are also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
My memories of Uncle Bill and Aunt Pat are very special…reflective of two of the most kind hearted, fun loving, generous people I’ve ever known. I cherish the time I spent with both of them and will miss them dearly. I loved talking baseball with Uncle Bill…even though I’m not much of a fan myself. When I close my eyes, I can see my Aunt Pat dancing with the Nez Perce drummers at the park in the Grangeville. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
