Caroline F. Johnston
Born December 6, 1917 in Bayard, Nebraska. She lived her earlier years in New Raymer, CO and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Nursing.
From 1943-1946 she served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps stationed overseas in England during WWII. In 1960, she moved to Kent, WA. She was a nurse for the remainder of her career.
She married David Johnston in 1967, who was deceased in 1995. Her daughter Jo Anne Kauffman predeceased her in 2012. Her
She is survived by her grandsons, Charles Kauffman and Andrew Kauffman.
She is also survived by children Jean and Ali Dobashi and Terry Wood of Tacoma and John and Sharon Johnston of Spanaway. Her son Lyle Johnston predeceased her in 2014. She is also survived by grandchildren David Dobashi, Jamila and Dan Larson, Nadia and Marc Boozer, Elizabeth and Ben Lewis, Bill Henderson, and James and Hanh Johnston. In addition, she had 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service at Bonney Watson SeaTac at 1pm on December 10. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to Salvation Army.
With deep sympathy to the family & friends on the home-going of our long time Christian friend Carolyn. We will miss her greatly.
