It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Retired Captain Harold Noll. Harold was 90 years old when he passed on September 16, 2026. Harold is survived by his sisters Dory and Rosie and their families, his daughters Kathy, Kim, and Kolleen, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Harold was raised on a farm in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He hit the road at age 15 with a buddy, living out of the car. He worked in a munitions factory in Missouri for some time, then traveled west, stopping and working when money ran out, as they traveled through Utah, California, Portland, Oregon, and then to Washington state. He got a job at a cemetery, a gas station on Military Road, and then applied to the Port of Seattle Fire Department and was hired. Harold worked for the Port of Seattle Fire Department and rose up the ranks and retired as a Captain. He worked for the fire department for 34 years before he retired.
He loved living in Des Moines, Washington. He would get in his car, go and get his favorite mocha, and go down to the water. He would park and put on the oldies so he could sing and drink his favorite coffee.
Harold was born on July 14, 1936, to Martin and Mabel Noll. He was married 3 times. Harold had and raised 3 wonderful loving daughters, helped raise 1 stepdaughter, and 1 stepson. His greatest joys in life were being a firefighter, the love and commitment he had to his fellow firefighters and the fire service, his strength and devotion to his family, and how he cherished what time he had with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on October 6, 2026, at 12:30 pm, at Bonney Watson Funeral Home in SeaTac, WA.
His family is grateful for kindness and support they are being given during this time.
