Aida ‘Ida’ Nelson, age 87 died peacefully on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Tacoma, WA. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Walter in 2009. Loving mother of daughters, Nancy John Wugell and Madeline Morehouse David Sorlie; two grandchildren, Jeffery and Michelle Morehouse; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Mackenzie, Mochi and Milana; brother, John DelVento; several nieces and nephews. She was a long time resident of Shorewood and Herron Island and was best known for being an outstanding cook who loved to entertain. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, 10/01 from 2-5 pm. Rosary will be held on Friday, 10/01 at 7:00 pm at BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way, WA. 253 839-7317. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 10/02 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 15236 21st SW, Burien, WA. Interment, BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac, WA. The family wishes to thank the care givers, nursing staff and Hospice for the loving care given their mother. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in memory of Aida Nelson to Franke Tobey Jones ‘Our Place’, where Aida resided for the last 6 months, 5340 North Bristol, Tacoma, WA 98407.
