Bonnie Matero, 87, of Seattle passed away July 23, 2004. Mrs. Matero was preceeded in death by her husband of 43 years, Michael Rocco Matero. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael Cheryle, Rocco Jackie, 2 sisters, Myrtle Allen, Ruby Kimm, 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Nicole, Rocco, and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be offered Tuesday, July 27, 2004 from 3:00pm-8:00pm at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blv, SeaTac, WA, 206-242-1787. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10240 12th Ave S., Seattle, Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Washington Memorial Park Cemtery.

Bonnie was such a sweet, hospitable lady. She was my neighbor for many years, and she was always friendly and loving. I remember her babysitting my daughter Joy after school occasionally, and Joy just loved Bonnie. She thought of Bonnie and her husband Mike as second grandparents. Our neighborhood was never the same after Bonnie moved out. Her family is in my prayers as we all grieve her passing.
