A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Chris was predeceased by his wife Norma; survived by his son Ed Petersen and wife Margaret, Chris N. Petersen and wife Angela, daughter Donna McVicker and husband Mike, and stepson Gary Syers; grandchildren Trevor, Lexi, and Gina Petersen; great-grandchildren Lisa Emily, Angel, Zach, Elizabeth, and Matthew; special niece Carolyn Petersen, and brother John Petersen. The family gives its heartfelt thanks to the staff at SICU Veterans Hospital for easing his final days. My condolences go out to the Petersen family. I knew Chris back in the 70’s when he played on the same softball team. He was a great joy to play with. Whenever I think back to those days Chris always comes to mind.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Chris was a wonderful man. We certainly enjoyed seeing him at all the ball games over the years. He was such a supportive Grandpa. It was very obvious that he loved his Grandkids.
Chris and Norma have a very special place in my heart. They were so good to me when I was just a teenager.They opened their home to all of us kids in the neighborhood . We always felt welcome.I know their caring and loving ways made me the neighborhood mom later. I will always treasure the moments spent with them. My prayers are with the family left behind.
