Obituary

Christina Marie Glover

Christina was born on February 1, 1957 to Joseph McDonald and Adeline White. She was the sixth of seven, and the youngest girl. The siblings, all still living, are David, Pat, Steve, Diane Klaaskate, Janet McConnell, and Paul. She graduated from Fife High School in 1975. Tina served in the United States Army for a number of years, and was discharged in 1990. While in the service, she married Lewis Glover and they had one daughter, Briana Marie Glover. Tina worked at Highline Community Hospital for 15 years as an X-Ray and Mammography Technician. She then worked at Swedish Medical Center for about one year before being diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2003. Tina was an amazing sister, and most of all, a strong example of a mother, not only to her own daughter, but to her daughter’s best friends as well. Tina fought as long and hard as she could, and was taken too soon. Survived by her siblings, one 19-year-old daughter, and her friends, she had a force on this earth that will live on forever. A rosary will be held in her memory on Friday, February 24th at 7:30 pm, and the funeral mass will be on Saturday, February 25th at 10:00 am at St. Philomena’s Parish, 1790 S. 222nd St in Des Moines. Reception will follow mass at the parish, and internment will take place afterward at Gethsemane Catholic Cemetery in Federal Way. In memory of Tina, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation, participate in Race for the Cure, or donate and participate in your favorite charities and organizations.

We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Briana, you are often in our thoughts and prayers. We wish you strength in this diffcult time. When ever I hear the Wicked Tinkers I remember the you and liz daring each other to get up on stage with them. We will hold fond memories of sharing your table and camping at the Highland Games during the summer.

My sympathy is with Tina’s daughter & Family.I am so sad to have heard the news.I went to S.W.Imaging all of the 90’s & early 2000’s.I always made sure I’d get Tina to do my x-ray, because she knew her job well & made me feel at ease with my appointments & was so much fun to talk to.She had such personality.

I really missed her when she transferred to Swedish. Also when I saw her she talked very highly of her daughter who she loved so dearly & was so proud of. Briana, you were at work with your Mom! I will miss Tina & I pray for you Briana with such a great loss.Love & prayers, Linda ~

I will miss Tina. I was glad I could visit her at the care facility and help lift her spirits. My prayers will be with Brianna while she grows up to be the fine woman that Tina always planned for. Thank you to the family for being so loyal.

Sweet Tina was such an inspiration as a co-worker, friend, and resource to me and other breast cancer survivors. She was too young and too kind to be taken in such a cruel way – We will walk for Tina and remember her friendship, kindnesses, humor, and her motherly example. Many awesome women have gone through the mill at HCH – Tina was one of the best.

I am so saddened by Tina’s passing….she will be missed by all who worked with her……she was kind and compassionate to her patients and those she worked with….I am glad I knew her over the several years at Highline that we worked together…we shared many laughs…I loved her sense of humor….and you always knew where you stood with her, which is a rare trait. My prayers for Brianna. God Bless.

We are so sorry to hear of Tina’s passing. We last saw her at her Mother’s the night Adeline left us, another difficult time for all of you. We remember Tina’s stength and love for Briana and Tina’s early years with the first Guitar Masses played at St. Martin of Tours in Fife with our daughter Kelly and their friends. You have lost a good friend and beloved sister. We have made a donation to St. Vincent De Paul’s Conference at St. Martin of Tours as a memorial to Tina. Jim and Mary Ann Allen
