Obituary

Dorothy May Stewart Wragge passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on Friday, January 27, 2006. She was born in Tacoma, Washington March 5, 1919 to the late Raymond and Ester Meehan Stewart.

She attended school in Tacoma while living in the Lakota area. In 1941 she was united in marriage to William Robert Wragge in Tacoma, WA. The resided in Seattle until 1964 when they purchased a ranch and moved to Ellensburg, Washington. They farmed until their retirement and then enjoyed traveling and just being retired.

Dorothy was a very active member of the Community of Christ Church where she taught many Sunday school classes and held positions in the congregation. Prior to moving to Ellensburg, Dorothy worked at Bar S in Seattle and began a successful cake decorating business. When she moved to Ellensburg, she worked at Safeway in the meat dept. and continued her well-known cake decorating, contributing beautiful wedding cakes to many families and friends. She was active in the local Jolly Neighbors Club in the Fairview area, was an active member of the Scholarship Club, and enjoyed her travels with the local Good Sam Club.

Dorothy was a wonderfully loving and caring person. Her family was very important to her which showed in all aspects of her life. She would serve weekly family dinners which brought the family together to form a strong bond, while her grandchildren were growing up. She will be missed greatly but knowing she is with her heavenly Father brings us peace.

Dorothy is survived by her son Bill and his wife Renee Wragge, Denver, Co; her daughter Raeanna and her husband John Randall of Ellensburg, WA; five grandchildren, Deanna Kari Secrest Randall, Camano Island, WA, Danette Brion Beaver, Cheney, WA, Larry Peggy Wragge, Ellensburg, WA, Tom Misty Wragge, Toppenish, WA, Travis Melissa Selah, WA; and six great-grandchildren. She spent a great portion of her last years visiting with her sister-in-law, Virginia Ottley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Larry S. Wragge, her husband, William Robert “Bud” Wragge and sister Betty Martin.

Services will be held Friday, February 3rd at 12:30 PM at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787. A reception will follow at Highland Park Congregation, Community of Christ Church.

A memorial service will also be held at Ellensburg Community of Christ Church, 306 N. Anderson, on Saturday, February 4th at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ellensburg Community of Christ Church.
