Edna C. Balde

Edna C. Balde, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on December 1, 1947, in Manila, Philippines. She lived a full and fruitful life marked by generosity, gratitude, and quiet strength.

A proud graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Edna carried her love of learning into everything she did. She delighted in good food, good company, and the small, everyday moments that many overlook. Resourceful and optimistic, she had a gift for seeing possibility in every situation and for lifting the spirits of those around her. Edna treasured her family above all.

She is survived by her son, Dondee Tan, and her daughter, Rosa Tan Obando; her three cherished grandchildren; her dear siblings; and many loving nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a wide circle of relatives and friends who became family through her hospitality and open heart.
