George and I have many fond memories of special times spent with both Emma and Ed and Emma and Al spanning a forty five year friendship.I first met Emma when we both went to work at the newly opened Hyatt Hotel in 1960. She was a wonderful co-worker and great friend A gracious hostess we had many of our pot luck parties at her lovely home. Great memories. One of the special things she did was to show up every year on my Birthday with a big bowl of fresh picked Raspberries. She felt so bad when she could’nt do it George and I will miss her very much

One of my fondest memories is from working with Emma at the Hyatt House. She would go up to the gift store and buy choclate raisins for my two daughters. It wuld be late at night when I got home so the girls would wake up and find them under their pillows. My oldest daughter,Lila, grew up and worked with Emma in the banquet department. Emma would refer to Lila’s daughter as ‘little Joan’ which of course I liked.
