Federico M. Armas Jr.

November 8, 1940 - November 26, 2025

Federico M. Armas Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, in Federal Way, Washington, at the age of 85. Born on November 8, 1940, in Manaoag, Philippines, Federico was the cherished son of Leonora Mendoza Armas and Federico Ringor Armas Sr.

Federico married the love of his life, Gloria Aguimatang, and together they shared nearly 56 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with three children—Janice, Gina, and Joseph—who were his pride and joy. He was also a devoted grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family.

A man of honor and service, Federico dedicated 27 years to the United States Coast Guard, retiring on February 1, 1993, with the rank of Chief Petty Officer (MKC). His commitment to his country was unwavering, and his mechanical expertise and strong work ethic earned him the respect of all who served alongside him. After his military career, Federico continued his service to the community by working for the United States Postal Service for 16 years.

Federico was a man of many passions. He loved visiting his favorite casinos—Muckleshoot, Emerald Queen, and Tulalip—with his wife, sharing laughter and stories with friends, and enjoying meals surrounded by family. Known for his generosity and selflessness, Federico always put the well-being of others before his own. Often times he was a bit goofy, bringing joy and laughter to those around him, and he delighted in secretly slipping his grandchildren $100 bills with a wink and a smile. He was a genuine soul, quick to lend a helping hand, and his mechanical skills and resourcefulness made him the go-to person for any challenge.

Federico’s life was a testament to kindness, hard work, and love. His warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, children and 5 grandchildren, Carina, Angelina, Cameron, Andrew and Riley; as well as his three sisters and relatives in the Philippines.
