Katherine Ward was born on July 20, 1920 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She was the only child born to Gentry and Sallie Caldwell. She passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2010.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Roscoe Ward; seven children, Gentry Ward Sr., Betty Gardner Victor, Patricia Hobson, Michael Ward, Rev. Donald Ward Sr. Mary, Ronald Ward Bonnie and Leroy Ward Juanita; a host of grand children, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on November 3 and 4, 2010 from 10am – 5pm at Bonney Watson, 1732 Broadway, Seattle WA. Funeral Services will be held on November 5 at 11am at People’s Institutional Baptist Church, 159 24th Avenue, Seattle, WA. Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery 350 Monroe Avenue NE Renton, WA 98056

when I was a little boy the first store I ever went to by myself was mrs Wards, for mass amounts of candy. she was a very nice lady and her son Gentry was one of my childhood chums in the valley.
