Obituary

LaVelle K. Ritterspacher, age 94 passed away peacefully on July 2, 2005 in Des Moines, WA. She was born in Baker, OR. August 12, 1910. LaVelle was the last survivor of twelve children. She is survived by her son, Thomas Ritterspacher Jo; two daughters, Pache Ritterspacher and Phyllis Richardson David; four grandchildren, Travis Ritterspacher, Trelane Clark, Ryan Richardson and Carlye Tercero; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. LaVelle was preceded in death by her husband Phil in 1984. Originally from Portland, OR, she spent from 1953 through 1984 in Pasco, WA where she spent many hours playing bridge with “The Brown Bags”. She then lived the remainder of her life in Des Moines, WA. LaVelle was very committed to her family and was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Committal Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005 at 3:00 PM at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR. The family has entrusted arrangements to BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787.

I remember the “Brown Bags” very well, as well as the telephone party line we shared years ago – fond memories abound.
